What’s New for the 2018 Ford Mustang?

If you’re in the market for a powerful and modern muscle car, then look no further than the 2018 Ford Mustang. Available as either a coupe or convertible, the 2018 Mustang remains true to its roots; it’s fast, powerful, and affordable. Three trim levels are offered for the 2018 model year: the Base, V8-powered GT, and Shelby GT350 packed with 526 horsepower. New for the 2018 model year is a more aggressive grille, new 10-speed automatic transmission, and retuned suspension. The V6 model is no longer available, but Ford increases the 5.0-liter V8 engine’s output to 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The new 10-speed automatic transmission provides for incredibly smooth shifting compared to the previous transmission. Drivers will also be impressed by the 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that provides an impressive 310 horsepower.

Under the hood, base models are equipped with a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 that puts out 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. For even more power, choose the legendary Shelby GT350 which is equipped with a 5.2 liter V8 engine that puts out an incredible 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque.
